This Will Be My Final Post

I feel that my use of social media has kinda changed, I am more familiar with facebook advertising and all that other stuff but I see no benefit to social media tools because I dont plan on making a business. Their has not been growth on my business because I have not been taking it seriously and just post nonsense.

I understand how blogging works and how well it can help a business but it would take alot of effort to make a post really engaging and meaningful. I have no plans on using social media service or products for myself.

week 14B: Facebook Analytics

my page only has 18 likes so I cant use the analytics view, my page got 7 likes this week and 18 followers so I guess my page is doing better. Post engagement is down by 7 for which I really dont care about, their is nonthing else to report.

week 14: google analitic

1.      Goals – with this feature you can tag anything and keep track of them, this is helpful for business because it makes it easy to follow objectives.

Languages – I think all business should use this app, this app tells you the preferred language by visitors and you can set up translators. There are apps that show you the percentages of visitors from different regions which can also be helpful. What if you have potential customers that go to your page but can’t understand the language?


Navigation summary – this is a feature that lets you know how people are finding your site. If people are having a hard time finding your site, you can always change the keywords and make it easier.

Week 12

PTC computer – This facebook company I found uses flashy pictures and videos to engage with their customers. They writing is very professional, there is much background information about their company, what their objective is and there services. They have been around for over 20 years so that means they have been very successful.

99$ pc repair center- I saw this one and I did not like it at all. Their picture header is not appealing and they hardly have anything in their about section. Their main moto is were not cheap, their expensive. Im not really sure what that means but that’s not how you get more customers. they could at least edit their pictures in Photoshop.


I guess for Facebook advertising I would set up a marketing ad campaign or coupons and try to give my customers good deals.

Week 11B: Using Other Social Media Tools

After looking at groupon and living social, I think groupon would help my business. I would set up good deals with my customers to keep them longer and to get word spread around.  This could help a small business grow. I have not set up a yelp account but this app is a must for a business. Customers can review your business which goes up to a 5 star rating. If your company has a bad rating and negative reviews you can always improve it based on the feedback.

Week 11A: Social Media Tools

On the net, there are hundreds of social media tools to choose from but I will only list a few.

Yelp - with this tool people can review your business and this is useful because you want to have good ratings to get more customers and your business could end up on top recommendations on yelp.

Google maps - not really sure why this is a social media app, its only good for finding locations.

Living social media- this tool can be handy because you can show the customer which deals to opt in on your products

Linkedin - I have used this site before and its only good for job searching, nonthing else.

Week 10A: Email Marketing

For a business, I think newsletters are very important. They can give your business the opportunity to increase awareness and understanding of your services and products to the customers. You can put valuable information such as events or even promote products or new ones. On my newsletter I would put what kind of repairs I do and the cost of them. I would probably send them out weekly just to keep people updated constantly.

Week 9B: Categories

Im not really sure what categories I would use but to get more customers, I would put a virus on my site or something that infect the users pc which would make it run slow and they would have to contact my business  to get it fix and I would make more money this way. I guess this can go in the scamming category which a lot of business do because they don’t care about their customers.

Week 8B: Twitter

I did two searches with the words computer repair and pc repair and Computer repair Glos and ComputerRepairNC popped up on my first search, so I followed them and added both pages to my list. On my second search I found PC Repair Augusta, PC Repair Center and another page similar.  I created two list, one named computer repair and the other pc repair and I only did it because it’s part of my assignment and I want my points. I think creating a twitter list helps you stay organized because you can put your followers on it and it keeps track of all them.

Week 7B

  The first business that is like mine is daniellespcrepairs, they have 173 likes and they post everyday but only a few of them get likes so there not really well know. They have 10 reviews and there all positive. They also have an official website http://www.daniellespcrepairs.com/. I’m not sure how many followers they have but it’s probably not that many.
   Polytechnic Pc Repairs has 206 Facebook likes and they only have a few post which get around 10-14 likes so I guess their new. They have 3 five star reviews with no description which I find strange. They don’t seem to have any other social media then Facebook.

   Geek squad, has only 36,000 likes on Facebook, I was expecting more since their well know. They post everyday which get around 10 likes and a few comments on them. All their reviews seem bad and on twitter they have 23.7k followers and 107 likes. They also have a YouTube and Instagram.

Week 7A: Get Visual

After looking at the 8 most widely used visual networks (twitter,google+,linkdin,ect). I think they all would work great for my business, but I decided to pick YouTube since I already had an account for it. With YouTube I can upload videos on pc troubleshooting and other stuff which may lead to more viewers for my Facebook business.

Week 6A: Facebook Strategy

For the first few business pages that I like, I picked burger king, mc Donald’s and subway because their food is good and I go their all the time. I also set wal-mart and dollar tree as my featured likes because they always have the best deals for the products they sell and there both my favorite place to go buy stuff. I can see that adding other business pages to your featured likes, people will see them on your page and  click on them and if they like it they can tell others about your business and it becomes more well know.

Week 5B: Post Reach and Post Engagement

Post reach is how many people have seen your post or comment and post engagement is how many people have interacted with your post. Knowing the difference is important for a business because if they want their product to be successful they would need to know how many people saw the post and interacted with it. If a lot of people saw what the product their trying to sell but only a few engage in it, it means their product is crap and the business would have to do something to make it better.

Week 4A Set 2:Deli's/Chilies

On the chilies website, they use limited time offers and a lot of food pictures to attract customers. Their call to action is a reward programs which you can get free points for just signing up and free deserts on your birthday. I kind of want to go down their now because the free food looks good.


The yellow deli looked very unappealing to me. On the front page they have all the locations of their restaurants and the links at the top on the page were really hard to read. They also have all these unnecessary links such as music, videos, news. If I’m a customer I want to know what you are serving, I don’t need to know anything about the restaurant history or music. The food menu even looks bad, it’s handwritten with no pictures, I think customers would want to know what the food looks like before they order it.  I’m not really sure what their call to action is but I would never go down there.

Week 2 - Communication: Business & Consumer

Have you ever experienced difficulty communicating with a business? 

I have never used social media to communicate with a business. I always go directly to their website when I need help with their products or when I want to purchase something. They always have their contact info such as their phone number, email and company location on their web site and I never had issues with communication.

Does social media make it easier to get noticed or get your problem solved?  

I think social media can make it easier to get your problems solved because your opinion can be seen by hundreds or even thousands and people can join you thus making your opinion very strong. 

If it was your own business on social media, how would you respond to positive or negative comments?

If I had my own business, I would just let one of my employees take care of the bad comments because I wouldn't feel like doing anything.

Week 1B: Social Media platforms

I think facebook is geared towards personal use. you can create groups for anything and organize events to meet with people which is how I met new people before. everyone I know uses this site, even my grandma uses it and shes like 90 years old.

I see twitter and youtube work really well for business. youtube has this feature where they put ads on videos which advertise a company's product, games, movies, ect and most of these videos have millions of views!! twitter on the other hand has a retweet feature which allows users to repost comments with just a click of a button and this makes it very easy to communicate within your circle.

I choose this template because I think it stands out really well and it is not so bland. I like the colors a lot because they fit with the background image which is custom.  I also like the layout because it makes it easy to navigate and its transparent. I also decided to use the name sam touga because it is a name I have always been using on the net.
